Question by Kyla Berg: What would you do if you were in my shoes?

I have a boyfriend of one year & my friend/co worker, Brett has a girlfriend (of a couple years. They live together with their young child). Brett has said that their young child is why he was with the girl in the first place, he decided to try to make it work simply for the good of the kid. She is good to him, but he just "isn't happy like he knows he should be", those are his direct words. Brett is 18 years my senior, and we got close talking about our personal lives together. There was always a physical spark between us, and about 6 months ago we started a physical relationship together. We both agreed it was best not to get emotionally involved any further, we care about each other but didn't want to fall for each other knowing the situations we had with other people. We have a casual sex set up, and it's been wonderful. I know, I know I don't need a lecture. I'm sure plenty of you think we are horrible people and its wrong. But really we are two people just trying to be happy. Lately something has changed in me, and I want more than casual sex with Brett. I want to get to know him more, spend time together, and see if I can make him happy like he knows he could be. All I wish for is a shot. But if he says no, I'm OK with just keeping things the way they are simple. Should I tell him how I feel? (and risk losing our arrangement, friendship, & the work relationship?) or just keep my mouth shut and enjoy what we have (& hide my feelings)? or any other options you suggest?
